That is my motto for cooking for toddlers.
I'm back, folks. 2016 is going to be a year of blogging about kiddos and food (and Fitness, but that's more for my other blog). G2 is coming of age so I get to learn about the difference between two kiddos and food.
As for "Baby" G, it's about perseverance. I am sticking to the one family, one meal plan and there are days where I feel like G just eats fruit and bread. It happens. Then when I am about ready to give up, she discovers a love of mushrooms. Yes, mushrooms. Curried mushrooms to be exact. And I think, okay, this is why I am doing this. I could have cobbled together a kids meal and not give her a chance to discover she really likes curry and mushrooms.
The other problem? She doesn't like kids' meals with the exception of chicken chicken fry fry (chicken nuggets and fries). I don't say this to be hoity toity "My daughter doesn't care for such minion food", nope, I just don't know what a kids' meal would be. Her current favorite meal is eggplant punjab, naan, Greek yogurt, cucumbers, and cauliflower rice. Do you want to know why that's her favorite meal? Because it's mine. She doesn't have exotic tastes, she has just listened to me say over and over that it's my favorite meal. (And it's my favorite meal because it's the easiest thing I make!)
Taste is learned, folks.
Well, okay, that's my hypothesis. We will test it out with G2. So, stick with me folks. I know my attendance has been shotty, but I'm back and I'm excited to share more eating adventures with you!
